Galatians & Ephesians

In the beginning Paul spoke,

He spoke the name of Christ.

Why did he choose to start this way?

To remind the Galatians of WHY we live!

Paul urged them to “Walk in the Spirit,

And you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh” (5:18).

To flee from the flesh means to not have to bear it,

“…Put off…the old man…” and on what is fresh.

The latter quote was to the Ephesians,

Of whom he also greeted, “Grace to you and peace

From God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.”

“…Grace…is the gift of God,” of deserving I am least.

“But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off,”

Paul speaks, “have been brought near by the blood of Christ” (2:13).

And though Christ Jesus lived on earth, born in cloths,

Of His daily bread, we often refuse the slice.

Paul closed both epistles with a benediction,

Hoping to keep all at peace and sanctity.

He hopes all accept the spiritual nutrition,

“Who love our Lord Jesus Christ in sincerity.
